The sun making an appearance last week was the only excuse we needed to dig out the picnic blanket and have lunch in the garden. Izzy loves having a picnic. In fact, she loves anything that involves food, so it’s unsurprising that eating outside makes it on to her list of favourite things to do.

P1100853_resizedAs we wanted something to cool us down, this was the perfect opportunity to try out the new range of frozen yoghurt lollies from Claudi & Fin.

Both of my girls will devour 2 or 3 pots of strawberry fromage frais at a time (and still ask for more!) so I knew that they would love the strawberry frozen yoghurt lollies. I had to encourage Izzy to share with her little sister, as she wasn’t keen on giving up any of her new favourite treat, but I didn’t think Clara would have managed a whole lolly on her own. Oh foolish me! Poor Izzy nearly lost a finger as Clara desperately tried to eat as much of the frozen yoghurt as she could before her sister could take it away from her!

In Izzy’s own words “That was deeeelicious… can I have another one?”

The next day we played outside in the garden again and Izzy asked if she could have “one of those special lollies”.

The lollies are available in two flavours – Strawberry and Mango. Clara tried some of the mango frozen yoghurt lolly – she was licking her lips and doing the cheeky grin she does whenever you give her something sweet to taste. Izzy wasn’t so keen, but she can be a bit fussy with some fruits and doesn’t like fresh mango so I wasn’t too surprised. I also wasn’t gutted as it means more for me – and they are really yummy! At 56kcal for the Mango and 52kcal for the Strawberry, they are a tasty and refreshing snack without the guilt – and not just for the kids! Designed by two London mums, the lollies are enriched with vitamin D and contain all natural ingredients, greek-style yoghurt and real fruit.

I like that I can offer the kids a healthier alternative to ice cream – as a snack, after meals and especially when they are playing outside in the warm weather (fingers crossed we get more sun!)

Check out the cute packaging!

Claudi & Fin frozen yoghurt lollies are available from Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado and Budgens, RRP £2.50 for a pack of 4.

We were kindly given 2 packs of Claudi & Fin frozen yoghurt lollies to review.

    • Thank you for stopping by. I love finding healthy snacks so I don’t have to feel guilty about giving the kids the occasional happy meal or haribo!

  1. These looks great, and my little miss LOVES mango. I like to give her these sorts of things as I’m always a little unsure of the sugar content in ice creams.

    • Some of the icecream aimed at kids taste overly sugary too – they love ice cream but I don’t want them to have as bad a sweet tooth as me!
