Chessington World of Adventures

We started off the Easter holidays with a few days at Chessington World of Adventures and then moved on to Legoland Windsor.

It was our first visit to Chessington and we really loved it. The park was a lot smaller than I expected but that isn’t a bad thing when you are visiting with small children who don’t want to be walking miles between rides.

Family Picnics with Bibetta Lunch Bags

Izzy and Clara love a picnic, no matter where we are or whatever the weather, so they were happy to review a new lunch bag from Bibetta. Of course it was the perfect excuse to go for a picnic (or three) while we had some nice weather over the Summer holidays.IMG_20160814_190313

Our Weekly Roundup #19

The first week of the Summer holidays got off to a busy – and wet – start.

  • Izzy had her first ever dance concert. She has done a couple of medal tests before but this was the first time she has done a group dance, in front of a packed audience. She sang out loud and looked like she was having a great time. After a dress rehearsal and 2 shows though she is now shattered and we can put away the leotards and ballet shoes for a while as she has no more dance classes over the summer.IMG_20160722_195943

Our Weekly Roundup #11

The second week of the Easter holidays was a bit less busy than the first. We got to spend more time at home, watching films, playing with toys and of course eating some of the many easter eggs the girls received!

Izzy and I went to the cinema to see the latest Disney film, Zootropolis, about a bunny who wants to be a police officer. It was really good, even for the adults (although I do love anything Disney!) We went with friends and it’s so nice watching Izzy and her friend catch up. They are like an old couple sometimes, with the things they come out with!

The girls had a playdate with 2 friends that they have known for the past few months. They have really hit it off and play really nicely together. Izzy loves going round to other people’s houses, mainly because she is very nosey! She makes herself at home straight away.2016-04-13-21.17.24.jpg.jpeg

Our Weekly Roundup #10

The first week of the Easter Holidays got off to a flying start – after our fun over the Bank Holiday weekend, this week we have visited a museum, danced with princesses, hunted for eggs and been to the theatre.

The Beacon, a local museum, currently have an exhibition all about aliens and science fiction. When I told Izzy that they had some Star Wars models there she decided that would be her treat for filling her reward chart. It took a few weeks but she eventually filled it in time for the school holidays! We visited with friends and the kids loved seeing all the life size models and designing their own aliens.
