Halloween Fun

Looking for some inspiration for Halloween? Try a few of these activities for a spooky celebration.

1. Carve some pumpkins. Younger kids can draw faces onto the pumpkins for the grown ups to carve. Izzy drew lots of little teeth on hers just to make it hard for me! Instead of candles, you could use battery operated tea lights or glow sticks.

This Week… 3-9 August

After a bad start with half our household ill with a stomach bug, we managed to recover the week pretty well with two birthday parties, a trip to an animal park, a night out (for me), a wedding and a weekend in York. Izzy was also very spoilt with two trips to the cinema, to see Minions and Inside Out.

On Saturday we went to a combined 4th birthday party and wedding do in York.Β  Or Old York, as Izzy calls it. At first she thought she would be able to see the Statue of Liberty so she decided that she had to call it Old York so she wouldn’t get confused with New York. It made sense in her 4 year old mind! This week… 4-10 May

Proud little dancer
After 2 months of dance classes, Izzy had her first medal test this week. She has been practicing for weeks and telling everyone about her new outfit. She had 5 steps to learn and we had been practicing a lot.

11 months old

A family day out at Gulliver’s World

A couple of weeks ago we spent the day at Gulliver’s World Theme Park in Warrington. I have been there as a child but not as an adult so I wasn’t really sure what to expect.

There were a lot more rides than I thought there would be, and lots of climbing frames and outdoor play areas so you can easily fill an entire day. We spent 7 hours there and managed to go on all the rides that we wanted to, some more than once, but we were lucky that despite it being Easter weekend we hardly had to queue.
