To celebrate National Tea Day on the 21st April, Jakks Toys kindly sent Izzy and Clara everything they need to have their very own royal tea party.
The girls put on their poshest party frocks and set up their new Sofia the First Tea Set and their Disney Princess Toddler Dolls. While I prepared some afternoon tea treats, they happily played together, pouring cups of tea for all their royal friends.
Clara loves making pretend cups of tea in her toy kitchen, so she was very excited to have a new tea set to play with. She made sure that everyone got a cup of tea, including Mummy and Daddy. The tea set comes with a tea pot, 2 cups, 2 spoons, 4 cakes and a play mat, which made the perfect setting for the royal feast.
Izzy and Clara were sent four dolls to review – Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel and Sofia. They were so excited opening the parcel, they had no idea what to expect and it was like Christmas morning in our house! Straight away Clara wanted me to open the Sofia doll and Sofia had to come with us everywhere we went for the rest of the day. Izzy loves them all but Cinderella is her favourite out of all the dolls, and she even took her to the hospital to visit the eye doctor – she was showing her to everyone she met!
She loves that the dresses show glittery scenes from the films, and are paired with matching shoes and a sparkly tiara. She is crazy about Disney Princesses, while Clara just loves taking care of dolls and calls them her ‘babies’.
Imaginative play is really important for young children, and the girls love playing out different scenarios. As the dolls look like little girls, they can take on many roles – daughter, sister, friend. Izzy was pretending that they were all princesses enjoying tea together.
The dolls, with their sparkly Royal Reflection™ eyes, are really pretty and would make a lovely gift for any princess-loving little girl or boy, and of course they are the perfect companion for any tea party!
There are lots of different Disney Princess Toddler Dolls available from Jakks Toys, so look out for your little one’s (or your) favourite. The Sofia doll is £24.99 RRP, while the other princesses are £19.99 RRP. The Royal Tea Set is available from £15.00.
Not that we need an excuse to enjoy a brew here, but why not make the most of National Tea Day on the 21st April and encourage your children to set up their very own tea party for their toys while you put the kettle on!
We were sent the dolls and tea set by Jakks Toys in return for an honest review. All words and opinions are my own.

I love seeing kids absorbed in imaginative play. My daughter started f’eeding’ her toys from about 14 months old and it just gets better! Love it 🙂
It’s great watching them do things like feed their dolls, its amazing all the everyday things they pick up from us without us even realising it!
