Izzy chose Daddy’s present herself. She asked me if I would buy her a pirate game and when I said no, she tried the old “You know, Daddy would really like this for Father’s Day.” And it worked. After all, I thought it was nice for her to pick her own present for Daddy. Even if she really picked it for herself. They had fun playing the game together though, and she also made some lovely cards at school. Clara bought him the TFI Friday CD and I was really pleased when nursery helped her make a card with her little hand prints on.
For both Grandads, Izzy painted garden gnomes, which she was really proud of.
I’ve been following the thousands of updates on social media and have been feeling quite sorry for myself that I wasn’t part of the awesome and inspiring event that is Britmums Live. It looks like it was a great weekend and it is definitely on my to do list for next year!
Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
Over the past year a lot of my friends (and myself, sob) have turned 30, so we have had lots of birthday celebrations. On Saturday we had a mad hatter style tea party for my friend Gemma, complete with novelty hats, cocktails in teapots, vodka jelly, scones, and lots of cake.
