This afternoon, the girls made a Valentine’s gift for their Daddy. I like involving them in Valentine’s Day and there are lots of cute ideas for children’s crafts and homemade gifts.
This picture is easy to make (as easy as getting paint on – and off – the feet of a 4 year old and 8 month old can be!) and all you need is a canvas, some poster paint and a marker pen/felt tip. Instead of a canvas, you could use card and put it in a frame. Crossing the heels on the footprints makes them into cute heart shapes, perfect for Valentine’s Day.
As usual I’m quite unorganised so haven’t got round to doing as many crafts as I would have liked. Hopefully we will do some more later on in the week. I have been searching online for inspiration and here are some of my favourite finds.
1. Homemade heart-shaped crayons, by My Frugal Adventures – I can now stop throwing away all the broken crayons (of which there seems to be a never-ending supply in our house) and save them to make our own.
2. Find out how to make these cute toilet roll love bugs over at Red Ted Art.
3. I love these super cute butterfly lollies by Skip to my Lou. A lovely token gift for little girls to give or receive.
4. This paper heart wreath on Play For a Day is really simple and would look great hung up all year round.
Are you planning on giving any of these a try?
